ClaironEnterprise search with answers

Clairon speeds up work across your company. Employees get answers to work questions from your documents, instructions and knowledge bases. The system understands the question, finds the relevant information and builds an answer with source extracts. Information that took hours to find becomes available in seconds.

For companies with plenty of accumulated knowledge that is still hard to use.

Knowledge should help people work

Companies spend years writing instructions, collecting technical documentation and describing processes. Yet employees keep asking the same questions, waiting for colleagues and working through problems that have already been solved. Both the person searching and the person interrupted lose time.

With Clairon, information is available when someone needs it to do their job.

Ask as you would a colleague

  • How do I give an external contractor access to project documentation?
  • How much sealing material is required for assembly X when building model Y?
  • According to our process diagram, how is a purchase approved when it exceeds the spending limit?
  • What is the deadline for making a claim against a supplier, and which documents do we need?
  • Which components are compatible with model X, and what are the restrictions?
  • Why did we reject this technical approach in the previous project, and what did we choose instead?

The answers may be scattered across instructions, contracts, tables and diagrams. Clairon brings the relevant information together and shows where it came from. The employee can get on with the job, and colleagues have fewer interruptions from another "Do you know where to find…?"

What Clairon can do

Give an answer you can check

An employee asks a question in ordinary language. Clairon finds suitable material, compares the information and answers with document extracts and links. They can check the basis for each conclusion, open the source or clarify details in the same conversation.

Clairon answers from your company's documents. If two instructions give opposite answers to the same question, a smooth summary would only hide the problem. Clairon shows both versions and explains the difference. If there is not enough information, it says so rather than inventing a plausible answer.

Behind the answer is hybrid search. Semantic search helps when an employee and a document's author use different words for the same thing. Exact text search matters for product codes and model numbers: a single digit can change the answer completely. We combine both approaches, then a separate model evaluates the passages and selects those that best match the question.

Understand diagrams and illustrations

Important knowledge in documents is often expressed without words. Arrows show an approval sequence, a graph shows operating limits, and a diagram explains how a device is put together. Search based only on extracted text loses this knowledge. Every label from a diagram may reach the index, while the answer to "Which step comes next?" disappears along with the arrows.

On another planet, people in space suits draw a diagram of boxes and arrows on an office flip-chart

We taught Clairon to understand what the image shows. Specialised models interpret the connections between blocks, the position of elements, relationships in charts and the structure of tables. They describe the illustration's meaning, and that description becomes part of the search index. Clairon can therefore answer from an image in an attached presentation, even when nobody has put that information into words.

This is how we process Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDFs, scans, text files, images and screenshots – both standalone documents and attachments to knowledge base articles.

Help put your knowledge in order

Two instructions can each look perfectly reasonable. The problem emerges when you discover they prescribe different sequences of actions. Or when an updated procedure turns out to have five copies that never received the changes.

Clairon compares material across the knowledge base to find these differences, duplicates and outdated versions. This is an AI-assisted review of your accumulated knowledge: we show the people responsible exactly which documents need attention and why, so they can get straight to resolving the issues. Reading thousands of pages by hand and keeping all those connections in mind would be a huge project – the kind nobody ever finds time for.

Keep data and access under control

Clairon can run entirely within your infrastructure, including the language models. Documents and employee questions are not sent to external AI services. A single server with a GPU is enough to get started; we will select the configuration for your knowledge base and workload.

We configure access rights, including through corporate Active Directory groups. Clairon only uses material the employee is allowed to read: a document that is off limits stays off limits when they ask the AI.

A deployment example

At a large manufacturing group, Clairon brought over 10,000 items into a single search system. Employees across the main divisions get an answer with sources in 20–30 seconds. We also identified 1,500 outdated documents and helped the knowledge base owners resolve duplicates and contradictions.

How Clairon made the group's knowledge accessible to employees

We will deploy Clairon for your company

In just a couple of weeks, we will connect your sources – Confluence, wikis and file storage – study your documents and terminology, configure the models and test the questions employees will come back to every day. We help select the hardware and handle deployment and configuration, or run the project on our own infrastructure.

The knowledge base keeps changing after launch: someone updates an instruction, uploads a presentation or deletes an old procedure. Clairon tracks these changes. Deleted material disappears from search immediately; new and revised material is processed at night by default. These are incremental updates: a handful of edits does not mean reprocessing a mountain of documents, tables and illustrations. Night-time processing saves on indexing hardware and leaves the system ready to answer employees' questions at the start of the working day.

Request a demo

We will show Clairon at work, from a question to an answer, including information from diagrams and checks against the sources. We can then discuss which knowledge is hardest to find in your company and how to make it accessible to employees.
